Foreign Ministry spokesperson releases Dendias schedule for next two weeks

Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson Alexandros Papaioannou released the schedule of Minister Nikos Dendias and other ministry officials for the next two weeks, during a regular briefing on Monday.

– April 20 (Tuesday): Dendias and National Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos will be in Riyadh to meet with the Saudi crown prince and ministers. Greece will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council for political consultations and one related to the stopover of foreign powers on the territory of each other.

– April 21 (Wednesday): Dendias will attend the meeting of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with Cyprus Republic President Nicos Anastasiades. The FM will then meet with his Slovak counterpart and make joint statements to the press. He will later attend a meeting between Mitsotakis and the Slovak minister.

– April 22 (Thursday): Dendias will speak on telephone with Byelarusian main opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.

– April 23 (Friday): The FM will meet his Montenegro counterpart in Athens and make joint statements to the press.

Dendias is also expected to attend the informal 5+1 meeting on the Cyprus issue in Geneva, from April 27 to 29 (during the Greek Orthodox Easter week). The five-member parties under the aegis of the United Nations include Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, and the three guarantor countries of Greece, Turkey and the UK. The opening event will be a dinner on April 27.

Also on April 23 (Friday), Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis will accompany Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou to her official visit to Slovenia, while Deputy Minister for Diaspora Greeks Konstantinos Vlasis will attend the trilateral meeting (Greece, Cyprus, Egypt) in Nicosia on diaspora communities.
